The Accessibility 2030 Pavilion will debut at the World Urban Forum 2024 (WUF) in Cairo, Egypt, on 4th November 2024. This pavilion is the first of its kind at WUF, fully dedicated to making cities welcoming and accessible for everyone, and it brings together key stakeholders, urban planners, policymakers, advocates, and community leaders for in an interactive exhibition space for a series of inspiring workshops, panels, and discussions on why accessibility is a critical lever for inclusive sustainable development.
From my perspective, the most spectacular part of the event was the first ever #Accessibility2030 pavilion—a space in the Urban Expo owned by the disability stakeholders to showcase the gaps, best practices and importance of disability inclusion in cities.
In November 2024, the Global Disability Innovation Hub (GDI Hub) joined the global community at the World Urban Forum (WUF12) in Cairo, Egypt, contributing to the global dialogue on inclusive and accessible urban development.
Global Disability Innovation Hub is excited to lead two sessions at World Urban Forum 12 on Inclusive Cities and Climate-Resilient Infrastructure.
